Here’s my views for the last 365 days. Look at the two highest spikes. The highest spike came when YouTube decided to push shorts super aggressively, so we all got big numbers from them. The second spike—which I am experiencing right now—is due, again, to shorts, and to the clips I am posting.
This is my channel, having over 225k subs, getting the most views it has ever had by starting to make shorts. I am putting out 2-4 shorts a day. If you are not posting shorts daily, understand that you cannot expect quick growth of your channel. Period. I stopped making shorts after that first spike, and my views went down. I started again making shorts daily, and the second highest spike of my channel appeared. Is there any misunderstanding about the importance of shorts?
You can get shorts made from $4 to $15 each, depending on the editor. You can also make them yourself for free. Do not expect your channel to grow fast if you are not making shorts.
